My Little Pony 2026's New Series

We know that there will be a new MLP series coming in 2026, but we don't yet know exactly what it will be as of October 2024.
We do have some leaks for a demo-pilot of a show called Cutie Mark Camp (and I do really like the concepts for it so far) but we aren't 100% totally sure that it will indeed be what comes in early 2026.

I can talk more in detail about what I do like about this pilot, but I don't feel like it right now... eheheeh (so then why am I posting?)
I'll simply share a few screenshots from the pilot and later recap it a little, maybe. Basically a heads-up to search for more about it elsewhere if you didn't know anything already, but only if you care about knowing what others are talking about when they mention Cutie Mark Camp. It might not even be relevant in the future to know about this series.

Before showing images, I'll tell you that this is a reboot-ish sort of thing that is likely not meant to be G6, but some kind of 4.1/5.5 kind of thing. It uses 3 well-known characters from G4 and a highly loved character from G5 (they are Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Misty.) This is set in an alternate universe from G4 and G5 and does not rewrite or specify anything from those previous generations that was previously established.


I guess they have the characters being a little younger for this idea, perhaps not quite as young as the CMCs but not adults yet, probably not quite teenagers. It shows all of the canonical parents for the characters we already know (which is part of what gives me vibes for this being an idea for something temporary to fill in space before a total refresh as G6.)


Seems to be a meetup building at the camp. The full screenshot shows vines being grown from Earth pony magic (the camp leader grew the vines for ponies to walk across as they travel to the camp.) So Earth Pony magic would be canon.


Shows young Twilight Sparkle being afraid to make friends at first, as she would be...

I can only send 3 images per message, oh well. Additional thoughts I have about this is that I wish/hope for the main characters to look less like they did in G4/G5, so that they can seem more like different characters even if they're similar. In terms of characters, it's all fine anyway but I would much prefer for them to be different from "their previous iterations" in G4G5 - But I guess if this wouldn't be proper G6 and more like Pony Life and G3.5's different universe but with similar characters then it isn't so bad. Maybe just more complicated. But maybe I stopped making sense a little while ago

Remember, these are simply from a leaked, but likely official video that might not end up being the final product at all. But it is still interesting to talk about.


Twilight meets Pinkie Pie, and then a couple more ponies show up at the table (Rainbow Dash and Misty) and soon they get to know each other more and are assigned to be in the same lodge/dorm thing together!


Eariler, before Twilight met Pinkie Pie, it mentions a pony named Desriree Goldenhoof and that she's "been trying to ruin [Twilight Sparkle's] life" for a long time or something. This line kind of worries me, since I still have a bit of Miraculous Ladybug PTSD about the "mean girl" type of character and I always fear that a new show is going to have a Main Character who excessively hates the mean girl but is portrayed as perfect and justified in her hatred and things... But this is MLP what could go wrong...? It also doesn't seem from this pilot that Desiree is a pony that they would do very much with other than have her as an antagonist, and if she gets reformed it probably wouldn't be very significant? Actually, if it isn't significant then it probably wouldn't be at all. Who am I kidding- And I also kind of hope for a cool, heartwarming and worthwhile story about it. But I digress and ramble



And this was pretty adorable, not gonna lie. Some people are saying that Rainbow Dash looks more girly? Which I don't see (maybe it's because of the longer hair,) but this style overall looks very cute-focussed and I'm actually here for that lol

And so, the pilot ends with them setting off on a Cutie Mark adventure. I actually would love to see a show about blank flanks and have different scenarios for each of them earning their Cutie Marks. It's a pretty cool idea. Though, now that I think about it, they might have all four of them earn their marks together... Which I guess if that's what we get (if this show becomes a thing) then I'd accept that too as long as it isn't boring hehe.

It would be interesting to see Desiree and her friends getting their Cutie Marks, though. I hope they aren't malicious CMs lol. It would interesting a bit to see them earn CMs that they think are for certain negative things but it turns out they were meant for doing good instead? But that would be too repetitive as a CMCs thing and might not make sense for this show. This friend group probably isn't very sturdy and loving (like most mean girl groups) so I assume that they won't all get their CMs together lol. I'm just in full speculation mode right now, or maybe I'm trying to figure out how I'd write it myself lol


I think it would overall be better for us if this was a set of new ponies or recycled ponies (Like Minty. Minty please come back in show form) instead of ones from the main groups of G4 and G5 because of their recency and popularity, but those reasons are also likely the reasons why they were chosen to be MCs of this pilot - Because they are well-known, still pretty darn recognizable for most people, it's a better bet for Hasbro to make toys of these ponies because they'll probably get more sales because more people will know them. It's a solid plan, but is it the only they've settled on, or are they going to do something different? Only time will let us know.

I love that their initials are written on their bags, but it still took me a good 5 minutes to figure out what those letters were for lol
One last note for probably why I like how this pilot feels - In 2021, maybe even 2020 as well, I decided to come up with my own ideas for a "G5" based on the different leaked Mane Six from G4 concepts that were everywhere at the time. Those ideas were overall more unique than Cutie Mark Camp seems in terms of storyline/setup, but it was still "refreshing the previous main characters and coming up with a new storyline and universe for them." This pilot almost feels like an actually slightly developed version of those ideas I had, so it's a little comforting or nostalgic (?)
That being said, if this doesn't end up being made, I won't be too disappointed. I'm mainly disappointed that TYT Season 2 was canceled when it was finally getting like really good 😡
